THE COMPANY
Digitata Ltd, which is located in Orkney, now has three main spheres of expertise:
- textile design, particularly of luxury interior accessories;
- design and environment;
- environmental studies.
The environmental activities of the company represent a development, 'an evolution', of the original company - Johnston Environmental Ltd - established by Professor Cliff Johnston in 1998.
This website addresses the environmental 'wing' of the company. For a general overview go to www.digitata.co.uk and for the design/interior accessories area go to www.marramstudio.com
* The name digitata means finger-like and is used in a variety of plant names, e.g. Laminaria digitata (kelp) and Passiflora serrato-digitata (passion flower). The new company name therefore symbolises the many digital areas in which the company is now working.
